Our small town of Wake Forest has been home to many greats. Back when it hosted the eponymous college, Wake Forest was home to the great golf icon, Arnold Palmer. By happenstance, we met Mr. Palmer at a tasting a couple of years back and he put down his signature drink for a glass of the Kölsch-still one of the highest compliments we've received to date. So to honor Wake Forest's son we decided to brew a beer made for the fairways.

Son of a Deacon Man is an extremely light-bodied IPA that focuses on the herbal aroma of the Mosaic and Calypso hop varieties. The crisp finish has a slice (see what we did there) of zesty citrus that leaves a super refreshing aftertaste. Grab a Crowler and go hit the greens!

This more modern IPA is super refreshing. There’s a surprisingly large amount of flavor that is really derived from the hop aroma overwhelming the senses. Definitely made to be consumed out on the fairways.
